The TDoS Threat

How to stop Telephony Denial of Service a.k.a TDoS Attacks in contact centers and businesses

About The TDoS Threat

TDoS is a flood of malicious inbound calls that shutdown a voice network or contact center. TDoS Attacks are on the rise, and present a major threat to vulnerable targets including healthcare, enterprise businesses, contact centers and public-safety response systems such as 911.

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Science and Technology Directorate (S&T) has partnered with our Vox Innovation Lab to solve complex TDoS issues and develop defense-based solutions to prevent TDoS attacks. Our goal is to shift the advantage from TDoS attackers to network administrators by increasing the capability to detect and mitigate TDoS, by authenticating callers and detecting call spoofing.

In this white paper we examine the threat of TDoS Attacks, and discuss options for mitigating and resolving such attacks.
