SecureLogix and NEC Corporation of America Sign a Strategic Agreement to Deliver UC Security to Enterprise Customers

Oct 30, 2012

SecureLogix Corporation and NEC Corporation of America (NEC) have signed a strategic agreement to deliver first-of-kind voice security and management solutions to enterprise customers in the US. Under the agreement, NEC will provide its suite of products and services together with the SecureLogix® ETM® (Enterprise Telephony Management) System, helping enterprises meet their compliance and voice security needs.

The SecureLogix ETM System helps to secure, optimize and simplify the management of complex enterprise voice/UC networks through enterprise-wide voice network intelligence and unified policy enforcement. A critical component of SIP trunking migration, the ETM System enables a hard-dollar ROI payback in less than 12 months by securing the enterprise from attack, fraud, data leakage, financial losses and service abuse over TDM and VoIP (SIP) enterprise phone lines, while optimizing voice service and infrastructure expenses.

“We see SecureLogix as a tier-one UC security provider with products and services we can deliver to our enterprise customers in the state and local government, financial, and healthcare sectors,” said Greg Cantwell, sales vice president, NEC Enterprise Solutions Unit. “This alliance accentuates our commitment to deliver market leading, innovative, secure IT data and communications solutions that can scale for businesses of all sizes. With SecureLogix, we can provide a comprehensive and complementary suite of UC security solutions to our customers, giving them 360-degree protection for their voice and data networks.”

“We are excited to work with NEC in the US,” added Joe O’Donnell, vice president of business and channel development, SecureLogix. “Both companies are fanatical about enterprise customer satisfaction.”

About the ETM® System

The SecureLogix ETM System is a comprehensive firewall security, performance monitoring, call reporting/analytics and call recording solution, offering enterprise-wide policy enforcement and unified intelligence across enterprise networks with mixed vendors and services. It is the only solution that truly unifies voice security and management across the enterprise through its centralized support of mixed TDM and SIP traffic from any combination of PBX/switch vendors. While guarding against future and growing threats to VoIP/SIP traffic and networks, the ETM System also uniquely addresses current, real-world voice attacks and abuse that target enterprise networks every day and cause substantial financial losses and business disruption. Examples of real-world voice threats include unprotected phone line access points into data networks for hackers and viruses, toll fraud, phone-based social engineering attacks and identity theft, corporate data leakage, unmonitored Internet use over phone lines, harassing and threatening calls, TDoS attacks, voice/fax spam, long distance service theft and abuse, and other unauthorized phone traffic and usage.
